For the second time in 24 hours, the Al-Omar oilfield in Syria’s Deir Ezzor region has been the target of missile strikes. The attacks, which targeted US troops stationed in the area, reportedly originated from the western Euphrates region. Local residents who spoke to the Syrian Arab News Agency said that “pillars of smoke rose from the vicinity of the American occupation base in the Al-Omar oil field, without information about the size of the losses.” This marks the fifth time this month that the oilfield has been attacked. No one has claimed responsibility for any of the attacks.
